Today you are collected from your hotel at 09h00.  You drive through the affluent suburb of Camps Bay where you stop at the viewing point for some pictures and to just enjoy the view.

You depart Camps Bay and continue on to Cape Point Vineyards where you have your first wine tasting, exploring the taste sensation of the local wines.  Leaving Cape Point vineyards you drive over the picturesque Chapman’s Peak and on to Groot Constantia Wine Estate, one of the oldest in the region.  Here you enjoy another wine tasting of the Cape’s fine wines.

Next you visit the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens where you can enjoy lunch at a restaurant (lunch is for your own account).  You have some time to explore these beautiful gardens at the foot of Table Mountain.

In the late afternoon you return to your hotel.

Chapman’s Peak Drive

Chapman’s Peak Drive winds it way between Noordhoek and Hout Bay. Situated on the Atlantic Coast, at the south-western tip of South Africa, it is one of the most spectacular marine drives anywhere in the world. The 9km route, with its 114 curves, skirts the rocky coastline of Chapman’s Peak. The drive offers stunning 180° views with many areas along the route where you can stop and take in the scenery or sit down for a relaxing picnic.

Cape Point Vineyards

Cape Point Vineyards is an Award Winning Winery with a Restaurant, located in Noordhoek – a mere 23km’s from Cape Town.  It is here in Noordhoek where the close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean provides cool breezes to nurture a terroir that is ideal for the cultivation of World Class Sauvignon Blanc wines.

The Cape Point Vineyards Restaurant is located in a unique setting with 360 degree views of mountains, fynbos, vineyards, and glorious sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean. Guests may enjoy contemporary Italian/ Mediterranean cuisine, or linger on the manicured lawns with a picnic basket filled to the brim with delicacies.  Delicious Cheese and Charcuterie Platters are also on offer at the new Tasting Room next to the Restaurant, with a pop up Sushi Bar in the Bedouin Tent over weekends.

Constantia Wine Region

The oldest wine region in South Africa, Constantia’s wine estates are famed for their award-winning wines. There are many ways one can enjoy the beautiful Constantia Valley. Besides wine tasting, you can take in the sights and sounds of nature while dining at excellent restaurants, ride a bike along tree-lined paths, explore on foot, or indulge in retail therapy.

Groot Constantia

With its beautifully preserved Cape Dutch architecture, onsite museum and fabulous restaurants, it’s not hard to understand why Groot Constantia is one of the most visited wine estates in the country. Its distinguished history dates back to 1685, and includes the supply of wines in early 19th century to Napoleon Bonaparte, said to have had a penchant for the honeyed nuances of the farm’s Vin de Constance.  Open for tastings seven days a week, including most public holidays.

Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

On the lower slopes of Table Mountain, the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens showcases some of the Cape’s rich flora. Taking centre stage here is the unique ‘fynbos’ vegetation. Those who work up an appetite while exploring this garden paradise can visit the restaurant or tea room, which are fully stocked with delicious meals, yummy treats and refreshing beverages. In summer, Sunday music concerts provide sunset entertainment. Kirstenbosch is rated as the seventh best of its kind in the world.
