A hearty welcome to Namibia! Your tour guide will meet you at the airport to assist with check in and the exchange of money if necessary. Leaving Windhoek, we travel into the enormous sand mass in the world, the Kalahari Desert. Experience the red dunes, wildlife and plants; lunch will be had en route. Upon arrival you will check in you may participate in an optional Sundowner game drive on the private reserve with the lodge Dinner will be served at the Lodge.

After breakfast, we continue south through arid and rocky extensive plains. Visiting the unique Garas quiver tree forest. With the boulders stacked mysteriously, the area is also aptly referred to as “Giants Playground”. We continue to our lodge. Explore the area on foot with the lodge. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon at leisure enjoying the facilities provided by the lodge. Dinner will be served at the lodge.

The morning starts on the edge of the Fish Rive Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world. We continue to Naute Kristall Cellar Distillery, where we make a short stop to enjoy an optional liquor tasting or cup of coffee. Afterwards, we head to the coastal town of Luderitz stopping enroute at Garub, viewing point for Wild Horses of the Namib Desert. Arriving at your hotel in the afternoon, you enjoy the rest of your afternoon at leisure and explore the small historic town.

After breakfast, the morning starts with a visit to Kolmanskop Ghost Town- a deserted diamond-mining town. With your guide you may stop for lunch in the countryside town of Helmeringhausen (optional) before continuing north along the Tiras Mountain range to your lodge in the Namib Desert. The afternoon can be spent relaxing at the pool.

After breakfast, we enter the Namib Nauklift Park with our tour guide shortly after sunrise. You will be captivated by the surreal Deadvlei, highest dunes of the Sossusvlei. After this, we visit the Sesriem Canyon, before returning to our lodge. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Optional activities (not included): Namib Desert Nature drive

After breakfast, we journey on passing the little settlement of Solitaire, before traveling via desolate, rolling hills of the Kuiseb Valley towards the Atlantic Ocean. Reaching the coastal Harbour town of Walvis Bay, we visit the shallow lagoon, a RAMSAR World Heritage Site. Continuing along a scenic belt and the ocean we reach our destination, Swakopmund. Here the remainder of the day is at leisure. Your guide will take you out later this evening for dinner in town.

Swakopmund is fondly known as the “Playground of Namibia’’. It has numerous activities to choose from ranging from adventure to exploring the fascinating features of the Namib Desert. Embrace the relaxed pace of this idyllic coastal town or alternatively take part in one of many optional activities the town has to offer through your guide.

Unfortunately, your journey has now come to an end. Today we travel back to Windhoek where your tour guide will drop you off at the airport for your departure.
