Knysna, situated along the Garden Route, is a charming coastal town famed for its breathtaking lagoons, lush forests, and delicious oysters. What to Expect

Expect to explore iconic landmarks like Table Mountain alongside picturesque beaches and the colorful Bo-Kaap district. In Hermanus immerse yourself in the local at and exceptional culinary delights, and finally, in Knysna, enjoy the serene beauty of the lagoon, indulge in delectable local seafood, and take leisurely walks through the enchanting Knysna Forest. This trip combines thrilling wildlife encounters, scenic coastlines, and charming towns for an unforgettable adventure.

**Day 1: Cape Town – Arrival**

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, clear customs and immigration, then meet your guide in the arrivals hall. Transfer to the hotel and Chek In.  You have the rest of the day at leisure to rest and recover from the long flight.

**Day 2: City, Table Mountain & Kirstenbosch **

This morning you are collected from your hotel for a full day of touring.  Your journey begins with a visit to the lower cable station, from where you take a revolving cable car to the summit of Table Mountain (weather permitting) for stunning panoramic views of Cape Town and the Peninsula.

After descending, it’s time to explore the city with an orientation tour.  Enjoy a drive through the city and past some of its historical sites, including the 400-year-old Castle of Good Hope and City Hall.  Visit the Slave Lodge and Company Gardens before exploring the vibrant Cape Malay Quarter, known as Bo Kaap.

Lunch can be had at a local restaurant and would be for your own account.

After lunch, visit the stunning Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, located on the lower slopes of Table Mountain. This renowned garden showcases the Cape’s rich flora, with the unique fynbos vegetation taking center stage. You’ll have time at leisure to explore this paradise, which is ranked as one of the top botanical gardens in the world.  Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

**Day 3: Day at Leisure**

Today you have the day at leisure to relax at your hotel, explore your surroundings or do some optional touring. * Optional Touring is at an additional cost.

**Day 4 & 5: Explore Hermanus**

This morning you have a transfer from your hotel in the city to the coastal town of Hermanus, famous for Whale Watching and Shark Cage Diving.  You have these two days at leisure to relax at your hotel on do some optional touring.

**Day 6: Garden Route**

Today you have a transfer to Cape Town Airport where you check in for your flight to George Airport.  On arrival at George Airport, you’re met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel.  You have the rest of the day at leisure.

**Day 7: Knysna – Explore Tsitsikamma**

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, you’ll depart for Plettenberg Bay to visit Monkeyland and Birds of Eden. Monkeyland is the world’s first free-roaming multi-species primate sanctuary, dedicated to educating visitors and fostering a deeper understanding of primates.
Birds of Eden features a unique two-hectare dome—the largest in the world—covering a gorge of indigenous forest. It is home to over 3,500 birds from more than 220 species, with a primary focus on African birds.

Lunch is for your own account at one of the many beachfront restaurants in Plettenberg Bay. Afterward, you’ll visit the Tsitsikamma Forest to see the famous Big Tree and enjoy a walk through the Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve, before returning to your hotel in the late afternoon.

**Day 8: Knysna – Day at Leisure**

Today you have the day at leisure to relax at your hotel or to explore with some additional touring.

**Day 9: Return to Cape Town**

Today you have a transfer to George Airport where you check in for your onward flight to Cape Town. On arrival at Cape Town Airport, you are met by your local guide and transfer to your hotel in Camps Bay.  This is a great opportunity to try one of the nearby restaurants and get to know the locals.

**Day 10: Departure**

Today you have a transfer from your hotel to Cape Town Airport, in time to check in for your international flight home.
